Need to give your marketing or web team access to your Shopify store? Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to adding a new user and assigning the right permissions.
✅ How To Add a New User in Shopify
Log in to your Shopify Admin.
From the left sidebar, click Settings, then select Users and Permissions.
Click Add staff.
Enter the user’s first name, last name, and email address.
Click Send Invite – they’ll receive an email to join and set a password.
🔐 How To Provide Full CMS Access
Once you’ve added the new user, you’ll want to ensure they have the right permissions to make necessary SEO, website, and content changes.
To give full access:
Click on the user’s name from the staff list.
Select “Full permissions” — or manually check the following sections:
Products
Settings
Themes
Blog Posts and Pages
Navigation
Apps
Domains
Dashboard
Preferences
