To make meaningful SEO improvements to your website, we need access to certain areas of your website’s backend. Don’t worry—this doesn’t mean giving up control or risking the integrity of your site. Below, we’ll walk you through the types of access we may request and what each one means.
🧩 CMS / Admin Panel Access
Your Content Management System (CMS)—also known as the admin panel—is the dashboard where you or your web team update content, add new pages, or manage site settings. Platforms like WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, and Joomla are all common CMS tools.
Having access to your CMS allows our team to:
Make essential on-page SEO edits
Update metadata
Optimize images and internal linking
Improve page speed and structure (when supported)
What we’ll need from you:
CMS Login URL
CMS Username
CMS Password
If you’re unsure where to find this info, your web developer or hosting provider can help.

🔐 FTP Access (Optional)
For more advanced SEO work—like editing code, installing tracking scripts, or updating sitemaps—we may need FTP access. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, and it allows us to securely upload or modify backend files.
What we’ll need from you:
FTP Host
FTP Username
FTP Password
Again, your hosting provider or developer can usually provide these details if you don’t have them on hand.
🚫 What If You Can’t Provide Access?
No problem—we can still help!
If you’re not comfortable sharing access or don’t have login details available, we can provide all recommended SEO changes in a document or spreadsheet with clear instructions. That way, your web developer or in-house team can implement the updates on your behalf.
At Quicke Marketing, your website’s safety and performance are our top priorities. We’ll only request what’s necessary and will always walk you through anything that seems unclear.
